Statement
I am excited about my up coming June 2010 show; Turning Pages.
I am working out the logistics of hanging my work for this show that will I hope, give the viewer a sense of the visceral feeling I get in my studio from these pieces .
To make these monotypes; I roll out slabs of colored ink onto a large table top. Puddles of mixed colored ink sit ready to be chosen by my eye. I have large sheets of paper in various stages of completion, up on the walls, animating my studio and calling for me to make these sensations a statement. My eyes drink in the colors, and it makes my brain want to move the shapes around.
I hope in this exhibition, you will feel what I feel.
